Yep! Take Dan Rather, for example. He threw 40 years of his career away over it.

ALL hatred blinds otherwise rational people.
Hate is an emotion and leads to emotional responses, which are usually the polar opposite of rational responses.

Bush hatred is so fierce among liberals that it's hard to think of any of these individuals as rational. I remember how much conservatives hated Clinton, but never with the venom that is spewed by the anti-Bush crowd.

Bush is the president of the main effectual united states interior the international. while he substitute into first elected President i assumed he substitute right into a reliable chief. It wasnt till while they invaded Iraq that i assumed any diverse. Than I in simple terms stored questioning what i might do if I had that lots ability. I wouldnt waste it on invading yet another united states. exceedingly a rustic that had 0 ties to 9/11. they might desire to have caught Bin weighted down.... No Excuses. Now there is lots turmoil interior the international it relatively is as though our united states has been defeated by terrorists. Our united states needs a metamorphosis. it relatively is a few distance too corrupt. Now our government is in simple terms too tied up with socalled terrorism that they are being distracted from the real matters. And for this reason I voted for Democrats. no longer because of the fact they're lots greater effective, yet they had alot greater effective suggestions to alter the rustic and help everybody prosper. they're attempting to get out of the mess and the direction the terrorist have positioned us in. You learn out of your errors. Forgive yet dont overlook.

Hating any representative, heck, hating anyone does that. That's why we had sedition laws at one time.
Those laws are gone, but that doesn't mean you can't speak up. When people realize that you WON'T act seditiously, and will speak up against them when they do, there will be fewer of them. Right now, half our youth thinks it's normal and respectful behavior! America hating is also back in fashion for some.
Not for me. I won't stay silent and let them represent me. My silence gives them license, and they take it as mandate.
They don't represent me with their hatred.
I'm a patriot, first, and a democrat, second.
Republicans, Libertarians, Independents of all sorts, if you don't hate democrats blindly, you might take a cue.
Self-hate is sick. Hatred of our politicians is just as sick. Blaming them is just as sick.
Holding them responsible? That's patriotic. But not if we don't act responsibly ourselves.

Yes, but the inverse is also true. Bush supporters, esp the extreme Neo-Cons, appear to follow blindly leaving their traditional values behind. Certainly not Bush bashing, but some of his recent policy pushes are well beyond the par.

The biggest problem with politics is that people make subjective (emotional) assumptions and decisions about topics when objective is the way to go , just the facts.

Absolutely. Here is a great quote from Winston Churchill:
"I have always felt that a politician is to be judged by the animosities he excites among his opponents."
If this is the case, Bush could be the best president ever.
