What was the name of the movie made in the early 80's that used all of the same spaceships from Battle Beyond the Stars. All I can remember about it besides the ships is a kid who kept a little alien in a space-beer can. I can't for the life of me remember the title or anything else.

...you're talking about the 1983 Roger Corman produced sci-fi/action adventure, "Space Raiders"; as you mentioned, yes indeed, the folks over at the Roger Corman production camp, once again used some of their genertic stock footage, which they've used for many of their films, including "Not of This Earth", "Galaxy of Terror" and "Forbidden World".
...out of print, for years on VHS tape, this film, unfortunately has yet to see release on DVD...
