No plastic surgery! Try other options first. How about altering your make up so that it gives the appearance of a smaller nose?

When doing corrective makeup, especially on your nose, always use a subtlte touch when highlighting and shading, as you don't want the shading to be too dark or it will be too obvious.

For shading you have two options - depending on the type of foundation you are using.

Cream foundations: use a shade or two darker in a creamy foundation or concealer, and apply as part of your "base" makeup; this method is easy to blend into your foundation with a sponge, flat rectangular synthetic blending brush, or just use your finger tips. When using cream foundation as corrective makeup, complete all corrections before you powder.

If you are using powder or liquid foundation, or have powdered your cream base, you can use blush as your contouring tool. To apply, sweep color with a contoured cheek brush.

Sculpting your nose into a slightly smaller version requires contouring down the sides of your nose. If your nose is narrow at the top and with wider nostrils, sweep color around nostrils and on tip. And if your nose is long, just a touch of contour around the tip.

If you are used to wearing makeup everyday, you may want to balance contouring your nose by contouring your jaw or under your cheek bones to really enhance the shape of your face.

Highlighting along the bridge of your nose, from the top of your nose out in a triangle to your temples - where the light hits your face naturally.

You can try contouring, which is using a shade of powder or matte eyeshadow darker than your skin tone and blending it on the sides of your nose...the only problem with this is it's really hard to get to look natural and usually looks like really bad stage makeup. Another thing is to take a highlighting cream and rub some down the bridge of your nose, but if you live in a hot climate it can come across looking greasy. the best technique I've tried is using bronzer and blush. First use the bronzer all over the face (a really ever so lightly dusting of the stuff is all you need) and then brushing a flattering shade of brush lightly on the cheekbones and a small amount down the bridge of your nose. This seems to add depth to the face and makes the nose look a little narrower.
Eyebrows can make a large nose look bigger too, If you pluck them too thin. It's not so much the size of your features as it is the symetry and how they compare with the rest of your face. Also, avoid putting shimmery shadows on the inner corner of your eyes because this will make them look closer together and put more emphasis on your nose.

There is no way, other than surgery to physically make your nose smaller, however there are some makeup tips that can help give the illusion of a small nose.
"There are two ways to do this, with foundation or with powder. With foundation, you place a light base down the top (middle) of the nose - perhaps one shade lighter than skin. Then, place a darker shade on the sides of the nose - starting from the brow bone to create the illusion of a narrow nose. Also narrowing the cheekbones will re-enforce the narrowing of the nose. With powder, like foundation, you place a lighter colour down the top of the nose and darker powder on either side. But make sure you use matte powder. (MAC Taupe is great for contouring, it's very natural). Be sure to be very subtle and blend well. Or try another tactic. Instead of shading or contouring to make your nose appear smaller you can always distract from it with colour, for instance do really bright eyes or lips."

You can fool everyone with a simple makeup technique. You can use different colors of concealer or a light highlighter and some bronzer. Put a strip of the light color down the center of your nose and then use the bronzer or a darker shade on the sides and tip of the nose. Its basically contouring to fool the eyes so it will appear smaller. Just make sure the colors aren't too dark for your skin so people don't notice it.

I think it is ridiculous that so many people are recommending a nose job as a reasonable answer. Honestly, if you just shadow the sides of your nose (subtley) and highlight the straight bony part you will reduce the apparent width of your nose. Women do this all the time with their thighs, too.

Also, you can emphasize a different feature of your face, either your eyes or your lips (only one fo the two!) to draw attention away from your nose.

Please don't have surgery just because a bunch of people on Yahoo! Answers told you to.

fake it with these make-up tricks:

TO SLIM DOWN A BROAD NOSE

1.Put matching shade of foundation all over face
2. Put a darker shade of foundation on places you want to camoflauge ( eg, the sides of a broad nose)
3. blend the edges of darker foundation

TO SHORTEN A LONG NOSE

1.Put matching shade of foundation all over face
2.Apply a darker shade of foundation just under the tip of the nose, blending around half of the nostril (don't use it on the tip of your nose)
3.blend edges of darker foundation

Celebrities use these kinds of tricks all the time and everyone thinks they had work done. It's like a nose-job without the money or pain.

there is only one way and that's by going to a cosmetic or plastic surgeon. Be sure the surgeon in board certified. I will not insult you by telling you to accept it. there's no reason to accept it when surgery can give you the nose you want. there are two types of rhynoplasty, open and closed.
