My guess is the song "Star Spangled Banner"
" And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say does that star spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave?"
I don't get the allure of fireworks. Every year people blow their hands off and for what? Some lights and loud noises in the sky?! "ooooh, ahhhh lights and loud noises." and people love to set them off late at night on week nights around me weeks before the 4th. It is so freaking annoying and i feel bad for anyone with pets and livestock that has to listen to that crap while their animals go nuts. Besides its illegal in my state.

Some people will say its because of the line in the Star Spangled Banner about the rockets red glare, which is true, but they don't realize that this was actually written in the war of 1812 and the practice of fireworks started after that.

During the war for America's independence, the fighting was seen by "the rocket's red glare" at night. It's mentioned in our national anthem and it's celebrated on July 4, our INDEPENDENCE DAY, with fireworks into the night sky!

It reminds us of the epic war we fought in for our freedom as a nation, our refusal to stand down and be oppressed. This is also revelent to the star spangal banner, our national anthem. "The bombs bursting in the air, gave proof though the nigt that our flag was still there."
Is your last name charles??

Nothing says "I Love this Country" like blowing up a small chunk of it.
