What if youre their friend but not that good looking you dont get cast? they cut the parts where LC goes visits her "ugly friend"?
How can these people only have good looking friends??????????

people don't wanna watch the lives of the ugly people, they wanna watch the pretty people.
Case in point - The tv show "The Swan".
Early seasons of the Real World weren't that bad - they were normal looking people. Not anymore.

Hairdressers, make-up artists, body trainers, and that film they put over the camera lens to soften the persons appearance. If you saw alot of these people In real life they would probably look a little different.

No one would actually tune in to watch a bunch of ugly people. Sad but true. Just like models. If you saw a frumpy looking sort of overweight girl with pimples modeling jeans would you buy them? No, you want to imagine you'd look like Cindy Crawford in them. It is just nasty human nature.
