Yes, one that is screwed in but never turned on. Every bulb will eventually burn itself out, depending on how much it's used.

I actual have a 1924 GE gentle Bulb that still works. Least the abode it got here out of had electricity put in in it in 1924 and this bulb is old. The Filaments on gentle bulbs use to final long term, however the manufacters figured that out, merchandising extra lamps than bulbs no longer a sturdy concept. So the Timed Filament became into carried out. Ever look at a field of bulbs immediately, some say 1300hrs, some say 10 years! nicely basically determine if a employer could make a $5 bulb for you and that i that lasts for 10 years and expenses $10, nicely a city.County,State,Federal bulb would be $3589.ninety 9 each and every. comparable bulb, diverse contract. particular they burn out, or expire. or Fail to Execute, yet there are like $3million in automatic video exhibit instruments that tell the maintenance guy or woman to deliver the County reformatory Inmate out to restoration it. value to you for one gentle bulb? approximately $5000.00each.

There are light bulbs that have been burning for well over 70 years.
They put out very little light - more like a glow. The current flow is so low that it never gets white hot and the metal filament does not vaporize away and ultimately burn out because of its rather cool temperature.
It lasts forever but puts out very little light and is not very useful - other than having a long (and pretty much worthless) life.

There are some that will last a very long time. I have a 18" florescent bulb under my kitchen cabinets. It has been on since I bought the house ten years ago. It has never been turned off except for power failures. Now that I am typing this, it will probably go out tonight. LOL!!!!!

There is actually a bulb the Thomas Edison made that is still burning today.
Never is a long time, L.E.D. lights probably would last the longest on average.

I don't know if there is one that never burns out, but fluorescent bulbs can last up to 5 or 7 years and save you money!

What Don said. Why don't we mass produce them? Planned obsolescence. Can't make the bucks off products that last!
