There is this guy who says he likes me but then the next day just avoids me, why do people do that, im starting to wonder if its even worth it, its really making me feel awful...

Don't get to concerned about this guy. If he's not "out" maybe he's afraid. Maybe he doesn't know how yo act now that he has told you that he likes you. Try talking to him, if that doesn't work....just let him go.

maybe he is not sure what he wants and if that is the case maybe you should not waste your time. I think that if he is making you feel bad with the way he is treating you then you should not give him the time or day to hurt you like this. I think you should leave him alone and find someone who will treat you better.

he could be for many reasons. just wait it out a little longer and see if he is worth the wait or not. i can relate to your question because i have a friend who had asked me weather or not if i liked her and i said yes well we have gotten to gether a few times but then i don't see or hear from here for monthes ..........

I did that once with one of my friends, i told them i liked them then avoided them because i was embarassed. Just be kind and understanding

Get another boyfriend. The best way to get his attention is to appear that you no longer need him. This will trigger is inner competition and then he'll make the effort to woo you to him.

Assuming it wasn't anything you said or did, maybe the guy isn't as serious about you as he originally let on.
It make take a while but you'll get over it. It is one of life's "little disappointments".
You'll find someone else.
