Im meeting with a person. I forgot their name! How do I find out what it is w/o looking like a total moron? My friend is coming with me. I could always have her ask him for his name. What do you think?

I think that it is great your friend is coming with you. Have her put out her hand to shake and say, "my name is Mary," if he doesn't give his name after that, she should ask. Then you can put out your hand and say, "nice to meet you Tom."
I think we all have done this in our lives.

have another friend call his phone number. Try to get a name out of them and say sorry i have the wrong phone number.
or you can have him call you on a phone with caller id .... and get his name that way.
