If you have time, don't just watch the video, read the article. The shadow is what is perplexing the folks that see this.

I had no idea where to put this, sorry if this is the wrong place.

Oh and myself?..i really don't know. I can't make up my mind of what it could be. Just thought it'd be fun to see what others could come up with. Looks like a spider on the lens of the camera to me, but that does not explain the shadow on the ground. Somethings in this world can not be explained, that's all i know ö¿ö

I watched the video about ten times and I read the article. I noticed on the video, there is a semi-smokiness from the lower left up to the upper right of the frame, which looks a lot like webbing. The yellowish object moved fairly regularly, and not sporadically, like it was following a specific pattern. I also looked at a close up of the object, which appears to have small legs and an oval shaped body, resembling a type of spider, or is in the spider family, eg. a tick. Although I believe it is a small creature in the spider family, it's much more fun to say it's the ghostly orb of Billy the Kid, who was from New Mexico.

(I have that exact Grateful Bear! I collect them.)

This is the right place to ask.

Thanks, I watched the video several times and read the article. It definitely looks like an insect on the lens, and like you said, probably a spider. The "shadow" definitely does not look like a shadow on the ground at all. The angles are wrong, and as it moves through the leafy shade the intensity of the "shadow" remains the same. It looks to me like it could be a reflection off the lens, a noise or interference problem with the camera feed or even an artifact of the video data compression. We're probably all familiar with "ghosting" with bad TV reception (no pun intended). Perhaps someone else with more video recording/transmission knowledge might be able to shed some light. It is pretty bad video quality, after all.

I'd be happy to consider any and all evidence though, if there is any more information to be had.

I watched it a few times, and I think it's a insect of some kind honestly. There wasn't much movement of any leaf shading while the yellow dot moved, so nothing was swaying in the breeze, it's strange that the shadow didn't disappear in the shade of the tree though like it should have. Is it a hoax? Although, if it's a insict, the shadow shouldn't have seemed so large. But if it was a real shadow, it also would have bent with the angle of the car, but I didn't notice that.
It is confusing, I see where people are still guessing on this one. Someone needs to clean up the tape, and THEN reveiw it before making any real guesses.

My first reaction was that this is something on the lens, and the shadow is also on the lens. Probably a spider. You can actually see its legs moving.

Although it apparently goes down the stairs and in front of the car, notice it travels in a straight line. Actually it seems completely uninteractive with the enviroment.

As a professional videographer and photographer, I can tell you this is consistant with a bug on the lens.

This is a small spider walking across the lens of the camera - this security camera is the type with the globe over it to protect it from the weather - you can tell by the dirty dome cover. the shadow you see is the spider reflecting off the outer globe. nothing paranormal about this.

Sorry, I think that its just someone dressed in black coming down some steps to the right of the picture and walking infront of the car then down to the left.
The grime on the camera dome makes it difficult to see, by scattering light, but you can see the persons body as they are about halfway across the screen.

I think this is the perfect place to put this. I hope someone goes there and they allow an investigation. The Sheriff's office in our town is haunted. It even made the national news. It is in one of the oldest buildings in the center of town. They've had all sorts of weird goings on there.

I am going to watch the video of this when I get home (can't watch videos at work). Thanks for the link! :)

It's a great example of spirit evidence.Maybe it's a ghost,if you believe in such things.More likely, one of the many other explanations are correct..You came to the right place by the way.

with the high quality video it is hard to tell. but this could be a reflection, a bug, a leaf, or the ghost of my dog that died 38 years ago.

Hi. Sorry, but it looks like a leaf blowing by slowly. My opinion.
