excuse for their sometimes rude behaviour??
If most men can control their sex drive well enough, why do women burst out in anger when the hormonal changes strike them ??
After all, both cases, sex drive for men and PMS for women seem pretty similar, right??

I think that most of the people who just say that my point is wrong, that PMS can be used as an excuse,
has never experienced life with a guy's sex drive before.
It's easy to say, you are wrong!!!, but how would you, if you can prove it ??

Aren't both PMS and sex drive hormonal in nature?? ;-) What makes you think you can prove one is greater than the other, unless you have undergone life as both a male and a female ??

"I don't use it as an excuse but how would you handle the horrible....."
OKAY I get your point. ;-) But wouldn't you consider that a huge sex drive, though not similar in nature, leads to a certain behavior, just as PMS does ??

Instead of saying "you are wrong!!", "PMS does this and that", could you provide some substantiated or backed-up answers, as I have seen only one answerer done so far??

"Um, women actually don't use it as an excuse even one-......"
Men tolerate PMS tantrums pretty often. And no sensible guy uses it as an excuse for rape. The law does not tolerate or permit it.
On the other hand, you got PMS DEFENCE for women!! Isnt that interesting??

"moody girl....rape...."

moody girl....with PMS.... is allowed to throw tantrums on a more frequent basis..... is allowed to use it ...... as..... an excuse for.... murder.
A high sex-drive does not necessarily necessarily equate to a desire for rape.
In fact, what are the percentages of "rape" and how many men are prosecuted for it. These offenders are punished.
However, other behaviours that are related to a high sex-drive are condemned by women, such as pron etc etc.

if a man rapes, he is indefinitely punished for it.

if a man losed his temper, he can't blame it on testosterone.

lets see..... pms, a woman with pms, can complain and whine about irrational things.............. is allowed to lose her temper.... men don't have such a luxury, do they??

pms is a real thing, but you're right in the sense that some women overuse and improperly use the term as an excuse sometimes. women go through a 'dark (moody, rude) phase and a light, more cheerful phase every single month. and the next woman you're with, you'd better understand and respect that fact. I can see your point in the sex drive thing; its just a matter of controlling it. women don't have to be as cranky as they believe they have to be, just as men can sometimes control their urges.

PMS is an actual medical condition. During the pre-menstrual cycle, water is retained within the blood vessels of the brain causing the vessels to swell. When this occurs it puts pressure on the part of the brain that actually causes irritability. Also, hormones are out of whack because the body is losing an egg. All of the hormones that the egg built up for the period of time is now releasing all at once because the egg wasn't fertilized. The part of the brain that controls the sex drive of a man does not have an effect the same as PMS does on a woman. There are vitamins such as B-6 that women can take to relieve some of the excess water and reduce the irritability that they may express during their pre-menstrual cycle. Lastly, the older the woman the less resiliant the blood vessels, so older women tend to get a bit more irritable but it really does depend on the individual.

1.) Women should not use PMS as an excuse for their rude behavior. Some females may tout this as an excuse, but adult women are able to control their emotions.

2.) A woman's hormonal changes are not the same thing as a man's sex drive. Women have a sex drive as well.

3.) No, sex drive for men and PMS for women are not similar. A better comparison would be between sex drive for men and sex drive for women.

I have no idea, as I've never had PMS. I don't make nearly as much of certain hormones most women do because of pituitary problems.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe they're simply pissed off? I would honestly get pretty angry at some things as well, and like I said above, I don't get PMS.

Here's the difference, though---being angry and rude isn't illegal, assault most assuredly is.

It's hormones and bad pain. It just shows they can't handle it and they don't want to show it. As for me, well I can't handle it, so I don't do any work until the PMS is done, pretty much be lazy, I don't get angry.

PS: Sex drive and PMS aren't the same. You can't really tell for sure. Well, women do have sex drives too, but not the same as mens.

I don't use it as an excuse but how would you handle the horrible abdominal cramps that can be so bad you want to just curl up in a ball like fetal position, bloating and breast soreness? Then bleed for 3 to 6 days or more? I try to be as nice as I can but it's not easy.

You ARE kidding right? You must be. Ever heard the saying, walk a mile in my shoes?? Women are capable of lust, and often will juggle the idea around just as much as men. But PMS is biological, lust is NOT, and for some women PMS is very difficult to control. Its like someone slipped you something and you're going off before you even realize it. Or, how about telling that stomach ache or high blood pressure you've been having to just stop it damnit! Get real dude, duhhhhh.

Not at all! My boyfriend used to say that, too. Then, years after we separated, he called me to apologize. He had been put on steroids for his asthma -- and then had to STOP taking them! He said that THEN he understood PMS, completely. The emotional impact and mood swings that came from withdrawal, he said, must have been the closest thing to PMS that any man could get -- and he prayed he would never have to experience something like it again.

Um, women actually don't use it as an excuse even one-quarter of the time as often as whiney men claim they do.

But, lucky for you, it appears society continues to find primitive "high testosterone levels" and "overactive sex drive" a sensible excuse for the disturbing number of rapes that occur in the U.S.
_____________

We can't give a substantiated answer to a completely presumptuous and unsubstantiated question.

LOL. And, also fortunately for you, PMS, unlike testosterone, generally does not result in physical violence committed against another human being. Gee, moody girl for three days a month ... rape. Moody girl ... rape. Yeah, men really got screwed over having to deal with MOODY GIRLS.

HAHA.
pms is not a huge excuse,
she may be crankier then usual,
but she shouldn't be a demanding *****.

sex drive is also a very hard thing to control.

my advice is:

get a woman who's sweet and giving.
:)
