Kiss the Girls...it freaked me out. I kept thinking someone would watch me when i went to sleep. It's really good though!

Gerald's Game by Stephen King. No joking, I slept with the lights on for a week. It is the singularly creepiest concept I've ever come across in a book and was truly terrifying! It's not conventional horror like some of his other books, but it plays with your mind and concept of reality!

It may sound strange, but I think Stephen King's books Gerald's Game and Rose Madder are 2 of his scariest.
Another book I like, not for its scary quality, but for its "makes you uncomfortable" quality, is Lucky by Alice Sebold. Way better than Lovely Bones.

I once read a book called Wither, but I can't remember the author. It was about some of the witches put to death in Salem who came back for revenge.
Also, This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti. Made me think there were demons watching me all the time.

The Beast Within by Edward Levy is on of the most uniquely creepy and disturbing books I have read. It will stick with you and pop up in your dreams when you least expect it.
Some other faves are by the master of horror Stephen King:
1. TommyKnockers
2. It
3. Salem's Lot
Some other classics are The Shining by Stephen King or The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty
