What do you think of the name Elle? I like it because you don't hear it all the time, but I'm wondering if it's too different.

Elle Catherine/Katherine Elle Marie Kinda relies upon on your final call. purely shop attempting diverse combinations of names you like and notice what flows the final. Elle is definitely lovable yet does make it difficult for the middle call.

Elle is the beautiful French word for "she". A girl named "Elle" would probably have to spell out her name her whole life, as it is not a commonly used name. Using a foreign word for a first name is increasingly popular and there are many lovely French or Italian words. You can use an online translation dictionary to think up an English word and see if the foreign translation (in many languages) would make a nice first name.
Here's a great website; http://www.tranexp.com:2000/Translate/result.shtml
Someone else with that name is supermodel Elle MacPherson.

It's super sweet, but seems incomplete. Maybe you would consider using it as a nickname for something a bit more formal, such as Eleanor, Elisabeth, Isabelle, Ellen, Gabrielle, etc.
I wouldn't say it was too different at all. I know plenty of Ella's and Isabelle's, so I'm certain Elle will be accepted and not seen as strange.
Good luck!

i think it is beautiful...for the person who said it sounds like an old ladies name...they probably like the made up names. I go for the traditional older names and if you stop and think those names are coming back in popularity. I know of a beautiful young lady (heading off to college) her name is Ellen and the call her Ellie.
I love the name!

I think it's nice. People have heard of it, but it's not Ashley or Britney. It sounds cute for a little kid, but could also be sophisticated, if she grows up to be a doctor or something.
=) I really like it. I don't think it's too different at all, though you might want to think about the fact that it's in Legally Blonde...
