the flies dont turn blue... blue is just the color that alll falmes assume at a superhot temperature......

The hotter a flame is, the more energy it has. Red has the least amount of energy compared to the rest of visible light. Violet has the most. [That's why sunrays burn you. UltraViolet rays] Blue has MUCH more energy than yellow or red.

The flies are burning too hot to be red.
