I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer, two door, I bought it used from an auction. How can I tell if the car has Keyless entry and an alarm on it? The key that I was given is obviously a copy of the original key. I want to purchase an alarm installation kit with keyless entry, but if it already has that, I can just get a remote off of ebay and program it for half the price of what Imma pay. Please dont suggest going the Chevy Dealer....Thanks!

Phone the dealer and tell him your VIN and ask for a price on a remote keyless entry module. If they look it up and you are not equipped they will tell you. Dealers are the best place to go for the proper info. Good luck.

well the vin number will provide a way to tell you but (i know u didnt want to hear about the dealer) the dealer might be the only way to find the keyless entery code by using the vin number located on a metal tab that you can see infront of the dash board drivers side thru the wind sheild. even if you find out if it has a keyless entry the dealer is the only way to get a factory remote for it.

Now also you might want to check an alarm installation shop they might be able to steer you in the right direction or install one for you or at least the remote.

It may not have keyless entry. For example, I have a '99 Grand Am that most people think has keyless entry or an alarm on it... it doesn't have either. In it, if you press the driver's side power-door lock button twice it chimes twice and automatically locks all of the doors instantly and then you just shut the door and everything is locked. However, if you press the driver's side power-door lock just once it chimes once and then you shut the door - none of the doors have locked at this point though. About 6 or 7 seconds later though, the lights flash and the horn honks and all of the doors lock. It's a factory-installed auto-delay on the car locks - say for those who occasionally lock their keys in their car - they have that 6 or 7 seconds to reach in and get them out then. But like I said... many people think it's keyless entry or an alarm. It's just not that way at all though.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://biturl.im/aUNeD

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

You can get the VIN and ask the dealer what the factory options were on this vehicle. That should tell you whether it had keyless entry and alarm from the factory.

It would be easiest to stop by the dealer and ask them this question.

Look in your glove box or on the drivers door for a sticker with a lot of 3 digit numbers. If the code AUO is on the sticker then it has the Keyless remote module. If it does you just need the remote then.

Do you have a numberiac keypad on the driver's on the door? Do you have auto door locks on the driver's side panel? You might want to check and see if keyless entry was standard on that model. good luck.
