Remember: Valerie Plame was not covert and she was already outed in "Who's Who" by her husband.

Some people seem completely unawair that Richard Armitage leaked Plame's name to Novak. Although it was irrelevent, because she was not a covert agent and was already outed by her husband in "Who's Who."

g: yeah I can see where 140 pardons is the same as one commuted sentence.

Funny, I watched Ms. Plame give testimony to Congress and she flat out said she didn't know if she was covert or not. Strange how other people are sure she was, even when she "didn't know."

If you want to start talking about the hypocrisy of the two political parties, this is going to be a long discussion. Both sides are totally partisan and do the same thing.

First off, Ms. Plame was covert, but that's beside the point. Libby lied before a grand jury and was indited, tried and convicted. Clinton, in contrast was accused (impeached) tried and found not guilty. Also, it doesn't matter if she was 'outed' before or after....Libby lied to cover up what he and others did. Libby has had his sentence commuted and when Bush leaves office he'll get a full pardon....Libby knows where the bodies are buried and the Bush Junta knows that if he decides to rat them out the #$%^ will hit the fan big time. Last, because someone else 'did it', it doesn't let the next guy off the hook. You should be ashamed of even suggesting such a thing!

Valerie Plame was covert, that is fact and it is well documented. She was never outed by her husband in who's who. That is a fabrication and distortion. You do know that her husband was a Republican don't you. Clinton was disbarred for his perjury. I suggest you take a history lesson. Libby is getting off. The judge gave him a fair sentence. And, he is a judge that usually does exactly what the Neo-cons ask of him. He's a conservative. But if he saw that Libby deserved this sentence and there was enough crime there that this judge couldn't let it go, what does that say about Bush and his cronyism? Is what Paris Hilton did and served time for and deserved more of a crime than what Libby did?
Please stop attacking the United States of America. We are tired of you and other Bush supporters tearing this country apart and destroying it and the justice system in favor of the Bush family crime cartel.

EDIT:: Funny, I watched her testify as well, and she said she was covert. I don't think you were watching her at all.

Please get your facts straight. Assuming that you are talking about William Jefferson Clinton when you write "BJ Clinton", only Libby has been convicted of anything. Clinton was impeached, the equivalent of being indicted by a Grand Jury for a sitting president, but was acquitted at trial by the Senate. Therefore, Libby is the only one who deserves any punishment what so ever as he is the only one formally convicted of any crime.

It doesn't matter that she was not covert. Now she can never be at any time in the future. We lost a trained agent. And it's a violation of the law. Why don't you care about that?

Clinton was not convicted of perjury. Other differences:

Clinton: Civil case.
Libby: Criminal case.
Clinton: Irrelevant question that shouldn't have been asked.
Libby: Relevant question, totally.
Clinton matter: Impeachment crusae in search of an offense.
Libby: Helping cover up violation of the law by Cheney.

the same question, but in reverse should be asked of conservatives who wanted Clinton to go to jail in the 90s...

why is Libby so special?

conservatives really can't say much about Clinton anymore after Libby now... they have proven they are just as bad...

Libby deserves jail time because he is a Republican and they are the most evil vial things on earth. Everyone knows that, at least that is what Rosie told me.

right, libby should be pardoned. im no fan of this admin, but to punish someone for lying about a non crime is ridiculous. just like clinton.. he lied about a non crime... get over it and move on.. however, if they discovered a crime, and he lied about it, then the full punishment should be awarded.
