should I be worried that he'd play the field??

Firstly, If he did I would ball him out, da rat! Secondly, he might try and get to third base too quickly. If he get's too fresh, do ya need a designated hitter to keep him in line? (kaboom) Or maybe he really would be a nice guy and you should invite him over for a plate of his favorite dish at your home.Maybe make him some foul.Touch base with me on how it goes.

You might be worried that he'd get sidetracked in left field or instead of paying attention to you pay attention to second base...gotta watch out for those baseball players, lol Marianne and Lefty...

Potentially.
However, I would be more concerned that he's a switch hitter, and just where he might be sliding home. So just make sure you wear extra protection at the plate.

Make sure he doesn't throw a "change up"...and he is familiar with the infield fly rule..
and if a foul is called , he gets another chance....
