Whenever I am heart broken over a break, I always wonder why I ever put myself through that again?
But, I guess, it's just life isn't it. It's like the seasons; Life'd be dull if you were just to be so safe that you'd never take any risks at all, not enjoy it just in case you might get hurt, because the silly thing is, what is to happen will, no matter what.

Its better off to have loved in the past than to have never loved at all...Cuz you will carry with you those unbelieveable moments and ignore the bad, if it was really true love. By the way you learn from everything and makes you stronger as a person.

if i`d answered this a few months ago after my ex left i`d have said to never have loved but my opinion has now thankfully changed,i now have the experience of being broken hearted by my first love and also now know that it wasn`t the end of my life, just my life as i had known it for the last 6 years and know i have it in me to be strong again and finally move on.

They (the ubiquitous they) say that those who have dared to love stand a much better chance of finding love again than those who have never taken that chance.
Has something to do with the willingness to risk opening your heart to someone, rather than staying in your safe little shell where no one can ever hurt you.

I was pondering this question only yesterday while listening to Fall Out Boy's new CD, the line "Would you rather be a widow or a divorcee" started this thought off.
It's close, but surely better to have known love than be cold and unwanted?

Since heartaches are a part of life, it is better to have been loved, than not. There's nothing else on earth to compare with the joy of having love.

it is better to have loved and been broken hearted than not to have loved because you know how it feels. being in love is good and the memories are wonderful even if it ends badly you had some happiness.

It's a cliche but true, it is better to have loved and lost.
You get to be happier than you ever thought possible and though the loss can be excruciating, you end up a much wiser person for it.

That's a tough question. A broken heart is so hard to bear. I have been through it. But I wouldn't trade love for anything. Sweet memories will always be there. Go for love every time.
