Fear is what they are out there to instill. Be cautious and aware, but never give in to fear. if you do anything based on fear they have won.
Watch for suspicious activity everywhere. report it when you see it. Get as many facts as you can, descriptions, license numbers, etc. Don't shrug off suspicious people or events. Question everything that is done, especially if it raises your hackles and you know that what they are doing is not quite right. Just remember that we are up against people who are not in a hurry and are willing to die for their cause.

No. I'm not afraid.
I choose not to live in fear as many politicians would have us do.The fear brokers want people afraid so "we the people" will be more willing to give up basic rights and liberties (all for the cause of freedom and democracy... of course).
Unlike others, I am unwilling to say "they can take my rights away and do whatever they have to do to make the country/the world a safer place".
Personally, if we need to be so much more aware, people need to let their representatives know that the borders are still open. They need to let them know that we don't have to legalize illegal immigration to secure our borders. They need to understand that failure to control our borders, in the event of an attack, will be a direct linkage to why another attack on American soil may happen. If The government was so concerned over public safety, they'd have already controlled the borders. Having failed to do so simply displays their insincerity when they tell people they are going to protect them. They already fail to do so at a most basic level as outlined not by current law, but by the constitution which they tooks oaths to defend and uphold.
Vigilance is the price of freedom. I choose vigilance and freedom over a lack of rights and "promised" safety.

no i am not afraid,,why? even these idiots understand that the USA and other free countries will start tossing mini nukes in the middle east! nukes that will come as a surprise in heavy al quaida areas, just 1-2 will stop all of this crap!. i am not a advocate on nuclear weapons but free countries must wipe out the rats nest once and for all. also if terror hits here again, i feel sorry for innocent arab americans... they will need to hide due to their looks only, sad but true

I agree that it is a constant and unrelenting threat. Our country has done well so far in avoiding another 9/11, largely in part due to the war. But, the guard can never be let down. That is why I will not vote for any Dem because they will slash the defense budget and leave America vulnerable.

I'm assuming that you want to know how we can help prevent a future terrorist attack.
Yes, we do need to be aware of what is going on. If you notice something suspicious, report it to the authorities.

As an American I am more likely to die from lightning or being struck on the head by a coconut than I am from a terrorist attack. Now that doesn't mean we shouldn't protect ourselves.. but last I heard we weren't waging war on lightning or palm trees yet.

I am afraid we will be hit, the constant wanting to treat this as a police action and not a full scale world wide war against terrorism shows me that most do not understand the seriousness of this and how we have to be vigilant every day.

I refuse to live in fear....we have had one major attack on the US in my lifetime...it is hardly something I am going to worry about unless there is a threat made...live your life...we all have to go sometime.
