Yes Matt plays at Coors Field but with the addition of the humidor that severly leels the playing field. He only has 14 HR but he has the highest batting average and most hits in the league and when he hit a HR its gone baby. The man has power and an excellent swing, he should be in this year's Home Run Derby.

Any one of the players can win the derby. There is such a fine line between hitting two or twenty, and it all gets down to a timing issue and a good day vs. bad day. I would say Holliday has as good a chance as any of the players.

So is Prince and Ryan Howard. My source was MLB.com, but also from common sense(With Prince) I like that they let Ryan Howard defend his crown even though he won't be participating in the Mid Summer classic(Well barring injury)

As for Holliday yeah I think he has a chance. I think anyone who puts on a pair of cleats would have a chance. If it goes down to it though there are some real good hitters there. If Wright does another, they might have Bonds(ugh), Big Papi, Ken Griffey Jr. I don't care who wins this looks to be the most fun the Home Run Derby's ever been.

Howard, Fielder, and Morneau are the only ones confirmed so far. Ortiz said he declined the offer (???). You'd think A-rod, Miguel Cabrera, Bonds, Carlos Lee, and Griffey would be locks to attend (I think 8 compete, so there's your 8 hitters). Holliday would be a stretch...I like him as a hitter, but I don't think he's a real HR hitter.

Here's the latest HR Derby participant info for 2007:

i could say that they are going to deffinitely % a Left capability hitter for the water and it could be intense-high quality to work out a righty attempt to realize the glove at 501 feet away to top middle (the only one to ever get close in a recreation replaced into andres galaraga who hit it on the walk way in front of the glove) right here is who i could % to work out in it a million. Barry Bonds 2. Ryan Howard 3. Prince Fielder 4. David Ortiz 5. Ken Griffey Jr. 6. A-Rod (even tho he says no) 7. Frank Thomas (has the capability to realize that glove) 8. Vlad Gurero (skill to realize the glove additionally) that could be an remarkable line up, its packed with lefties to placed on a water works practice, and has 3 powerfull righties to attempt and attain the glove, it probable won't take place like that tho yet come on all of us can dream.

he might but he's not what you would consider a classic home run hitter. He'd be my pick for a goose egg if he does go.
