Download Spybot Search&Destroy and make sure to get all updates and then run a scan. Once the scan is complete chose to fix all problems.

It has nothing to do with Firefox. You have a rouge anti-spyware application running.

SystemDoctor 2006 is a rogue anti-spyware application that gets installed by Spyware/malware without asking for permission. This infection can also be accompanied by other malware that changes your desktop background to a fake warning or by Trojans that issue fake taskbar security alerts. These are all used as a scare tactic to have you purchase their commercial software.

This website has instructions on how to remove it.

System doctor is what they call a "rogue spyware scanner". Meaning it is a spyware scanner, but it begins by infecting your computer and then forcing you to buy it to get it off your computer. Under no circumstances sent them money or pay the programs.

Go to http://download.com and get the free scanner Spybot Seek&Destroy. I have successfully removed System Doctor with it. Download and run and it should be gone.

If you switch to Linux, spyware and malware (such as viruses) tends not to be a problem.
