Yes, I was born in Uk but have lived in another country for decades, so I know what you're talking about. In my dreams the countries are one, for example I can get the local bus to visit my mum! If you think about it though, our hearts are big enough to love both, or all the places you're talking about! It's like having kids...when I had my first I thought I could never love the second and third as much, but your love e-x-p-a-n-d-s. So you should love both places and say that you come from both! People often ask me if I feel English now, and I say, yes, but I also feel Greek! I think people like us are lucky to have this experience, we are usually more broad minded than others who've always lived in one country.

I live in Scotland and have developed an accent, but if I have a drink and am debating with my friends, my very welsh nature comes out, particulary when I say the Welsh and The Scots spoke the same language. They don't believe me but I learnt welsh and many place names and old Gaelic sayings are awfully similar. I love Scotland, but love Wales more.

If you are speaking philosophically then yes I think that everyone has this time in their lives. There are certian situations that everyone goes through in life where they must make a choice and think about those choices, whether it be a person a college, a place you want to be, something you want to do. Everyone lives this and it is the only way we grow.

My heart isn't in two different places but it is with feelings. My friends don't understand me at all and don't take me seriously. I think about boys all the time and there's this one boy i realy fancy but When I go out with a boy we barely do anything and I'm dieing for a kiss off him and they don't know that.

I think it's totally natural, if you haven't lived your life in a shell and you have tried different experiences and ways of life, you acknowledge the good bits of all of them and you do not have to disown any of it (unless you have reasons to but you would not have any doubt about it I think). We all have our own history and experiences and it's so much easier to travel nowadays, I think the concept of 'belonging' to one town or country is obsolete by now. I feel I belong and identify with a culture, with a way of thinking not with a specific country. I think it's not black or white and you do not have to make a choice.
