my mom tells me what to wear and im 13 im going to 9th grade and i kno how to dress myself.

Well, for starters, as a general rule ....parents rule.
But no doubt they have had some issues with your appearance...too sexy for a kid, things that do not meet their standards as "normal."
You can try talking about it in a calm voice and show that you can respect her view and let you stretch the boundaries a bit and let you make some decisions. Respect her wishes but add your own style and flair a LITTLE BIT at a time.

The reason why parents tell their kids what to do is because
some kids don't dress appropriately,
I see you are 13 and going to 9th grade and you can dress yourself and I believe you.
There are kids who don't
I see people whether are going to school or not wearing ripped jeans,
globs of eyeshadow that can be seen far away.
Your parents just worry that you could fall in the wrong crowd.
If you were my daughter I would be concerned but I would give you leeway. If your parents are asking questions that would be their right because they don't want anything bad to happen to you.

Listen to your mom. Sometimes adults see things diff. then you do and with as many sick people out in the world today take her advice, you have all your adult life to dress however you want.

she is being overprotective and doesn't want to let her baby go - ask for her advice and then discuss and negotiate it
