Combination of reasons. There is no one reason to purchase a car. You try and find the car that will be good in all of the things you are looking for. Style, size, power, economy, comfort, price, options, and the list goes on.

We have 2 Hondas - one a Civic, the other the Odyssey van.

First and foremost - Safety & dependability.
Best value for the money with really nice features included.
Smooth ride.
MPG for the Civic.
Lots of room and flexibility with the van. Great for when we go out with friends or when we need to move a lot of stuff from place to place.

Status, looks, performance, retractable hard top, not your average driver. I won't blend into the sea of Japanese imports like Camrys and Maximas.
2006 Ford F350 4x4 Super duty Diesel. Performance, longevity, looks, capacity, towing ability.
