does it matter what week you take a pregnancy test??? can it be a couple weeks before your period or does it have to be the week you get it?

When you ovulate (usually around two weeks before your period is due), once the egg is released and then fertilized, it can take a couple of days to travel down the fallopian tube. Once it reaches the uterus, after it implants, it can take several more days for your body to produce enough HCG (the pregnancy hormone) for it to show up in your urine.
You should wait at least until you've missed your period, waiting till about a week after your period will give you a more accurate answer.
All women are different, some can get early answers, and some won't get a positive until several weeks after their missed period.

well you can only get pregnant 2 weeks before your period, on your fertile days, theres some tests that are made to give you the answers 5 days sooner, but they arent always right, wait till your missed period.

I think you need to be late for your period before most urine tests will tell you. I know the hpt never work for me, I have to get a blood test from the doc to know for sure.

the week it supposed to come on . why on earth would you test two weeks before your due thats when your ovulating take the test once your period is late

Do it a week after you miss and use your morning pee. You may have to test again. I had to. My first test was negative.

I took a few and got all negatives, waited another week and got a few faint positives and one negative.....went to the dr. and she said the hcg levels were so low, it was too soon to confirm preg. and it might be a blighted ovum. I waited another week and got strong positives and an ultrasound confirmed it!

you can take it whenver you want, but if you want it to be accurate you need to wait until you miss your period!
