I know Mr. Kennedy will be WWE Champion within a year, so I actually hoped he wouldn't win the Beat the Clock on Raw--the winner of Beat the Clock would go to the GAB for the Championship. The main championships rarely change hands at The Great American Bash, as it is right before one of the biggest PPVs of the year, SummerSlam. So, basically, whoever is up against Cena in the main event has no chance of winning the title, because Cena will be defending in the main event at SummerSlam.
But that aside, if the winner of Beat the Clock were to win the WWE Championship at the Bash, I would've wanted Kennedy (obviously) or Orton. Orton has been in main event after main event chasing Cena's championship, but the WWE writers refuse to acknowledge his hard work and continue to rub his face in that glass ceiling. Kennedy and Orton are both truly talented, and both deserve the title.

I would love to see Cena and Kennedy go at it. I respect Bobby Lashley's abilities, but let's face it...the guy has the charisma of a carrot. However, I do think Cena/Lashley will be a fun match to watch.

yeah I kinda was and in a way I wasn't disappointed. I mean that's gonna be one hell of a match between him and Cena at the G.A.B. coming up but I really wanted either Mr. Kennedy or Orton to win b/c I knew that Cena could beat those guys with ease.

I thought that Randy Orton would win since he has never had a one-on-one shot for the title but I am glad that Lashley won. It should be a good match.

Didnt really matter because Cena would just win. He always wins and even if he doesnt he'll win it back within the next week. who cares indeed

bobby lashly he deserves to win more then any of them and him and john cena is going to make a great match i cant wait to watch it

i wanted lashly 2 win, but aslo orton.. orton's right, vince hasn't put him in a 1 on 1 match with cena, but he also needs 2 stop running his f'ing mouth

I would have liked to see Mr. Kennedy win but I guess that he's not fully healed and ready to come back yet.
