they thought you would have s*x with them or if you were flirting and they thought it might lead to that? I am feeling this way and it makes me not want anything to do with men right now.♥j

Good for you my dear. You have your eyes wide open.
You have respect for yourself, that real men will admire.
This world seems to be falling apart in every sense of the word. Any one that thinks otherwise, is in denial. It makes a Grandmother like me, feel so good to know there are girls like you out there. Hold yourself always in the highest esteem & God bless you.~~~jill

I've felt like that before. The thing you have to keep saying to yourself is not all men are like that. Try looking at the type of men you're socializing with and see if there is a pattern there. Get out and talk to guys you wouldn't normal talk to. Think about it this way....if you are tired of looking and only finding jerks, stop looking in the same place.Try to meet guys in different places from where you are used to and who knows....you might get lucky. =) I know I did.

Good Luck.

I really like Tom's answer. It reaffirms my faith in the male segment of the population!

Yeah, I have felt that way in the past. Being a woman in the world is tough, but so is being a guy!

Trying to connect in more than just a sexual way can be a struggle.

Hang in there. Just enjoy being w/yourself and your family and take a break from the whole male/female thing for awhile to regain your perspective.

I'm so sorry, the only thing I can say is not all are like that. maybe you should just be looking in a different place. I'm a man, but that doesn't mean you should toss me out, right? have I left that impression on you? if you knew me a little better you'd find I am sincere, and I'm not interesting in that sort of thing. am I your friend?

Sorry that's happened to you, Queenfairy. Not all men are that way. Most of my platonic friends have been women. There are guys out there who would like you for who you are. You just have to separate the wheat from the chaff.

i can only speak for myself. i am not like that. my single most important goal in life is not the knotch count on my head board. in fact many of the women i know are more like that then me. i like women that conduct themselves with self respect and restraint. flirting is fine and encouraged. knocking heels with every tom dick and harry is not. i find this a lot in single women my age. they assume that all men are looking only for some fun and they see themselves as too set in their ways or hurt too many times to allow themselves to be anything else other than that way. that is pure bs. i dont use or abuse women. i remember birthdays, appointments, etc., etc., etc., yet i am single. not ugly or small bank account. just not going to wind up with a floozie. i likle beautiful women. her measuremnts may be what i consider beautiful, but her personality makes the deal. not her sexual prowess.

Welcome to the world honey. You've got to know them awhile before you can tell how slippery they are, they all want the same thing, its in our genes to reproduce, just some want more as well in the form of a relationship. Eventually you will learn to use this to your advantage, til then it's probably best that you do avoid them.

Men can be that way! Just don't play into their silly fantasies by being 'that way'. They will treat you with more respect if you act with more class.

It's a phase. Not all men are like that. Sometimes you just have to insulate your heart for a while. That's all. You're just too damn sexy is the problem. ♥
