I'm not a fan of pet names from strangers. Waitresses calling me sweetie and stuff. I don't mind so much from people I know. I have many co-workers who do that. Not a problem.

I do. Not in a hostile way but I feel like I'm being labeled a piece of fluff with one of those girly little adorations. That is in real life. On P&S, I could care less, this isn't real life.

No, if it's just who you are. You can tell when people say that kind of thing in a condescending way --- even in print. If it's just how you talk, then it give people a window into getting to know you and your personality.
