No matter your position on the Iraq War or President Bush, the terrorist attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania merited military action. The location of this war will be debated for decades but no American should doubt whether or not military action needed to be taken. People question where and why this war is being fought and those are fair questions to ask. But imagine if the administration was still trying to figure out who attacked us and had taken no military action 6 years after the fact. There would be a serious uprising around this country. Saddam Hussein needed to be taken out and the Armed Forces, at the very least, freed a country from a heinous dictator. Sure there have been many mistakes made, but would you say the negatives have outweighed the positives there? May God Bless Our Troops and bring them home quickly and safely.

It is really hard to say. Some people say that they would, others they wouldn't. Some say that they would be alive but more innocent people would have died. Another president may not have sent people anywhere. That decision is made at the time with the information they have and some serious disscussion. They may have just created a better defense system. Being from Canada, which has very little in terms of military, I know we wouldn't go in. But maybe, just maybe, the UN didn't go in for a reason.

I think they would be alive and also think that your country might be a little safer with the $440 billion dollars worth of infrustructure and security to protect it (which is currently the cost of the war in Iraq).

In my honest opinion, I am glad he is gone soon. I don't know how someone could make their way to the highest position in office without being able to publicly speak in proper English. Hopefully a departure plan comes in soon so that the rest of your men and women can come from a fight that they shouldn't be fighting.

I support your troops, but not the person sending them well. My heart goes out to all the families and friends of the individuals who have lost or injuried ones because of this war.

Now for my opinion on some other people's posts Some posters above me mentioned merits for the war. The war on Terror is in Afghanistan not Iraq. Afghanistan was there response to the terrorist attacks, and that I can acknowledge. How often now do you hear of soldiers in Afghanistan dying compared to Iraq? It went from "Weapons of Mass Destruction" which I am waiting to see, to "Operation Iraqi Freedom". You want freedom, fight for it yourself. Does that mean you should go in North Korea? China? Cuba? All because their leaders are horrible? The reason those soldiers are dead is because someone didn't know when to stop and didn't know when to mind their own business.

Probably not. I believe when it's your time to go, it's your time to go, regardless of where you are or what you're doing. My brother died stateside in a motorcycle accident 22 days after returning from Iraq.

By the way, politics no matter what country, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Try to remember that. Also, every freakin day things happen that we don't know about, and to be honest, I'm glad I don't know half the sh*t they do. People as a whole are stupid and panicy. A person can handle a situation, that's how it has always been.

Some of them, maybe. At the beginning the democrats supported the war so you would have to assume that Al Gore would have done the same thing Bush did. The reason some of them might still be alive is that when the going got tough the democrats would have cut and run like cowards and those who would be alive because of it would be walking around ashamed of their leadership for making them leave without finishing their job.

If Bush were not president hen we would probably not be Iraq, we'd probably be in a conflict with the forces of terrorism and with states that support terrorists, we might even have caught Bin Laden by now. So him not being president may not have saved those soldiers but at least they would have died truly protecting this country rather than for the sham GWB has sent them into.

Gee, I don't know. Would 3000+ Americans still be alive if Al Quaida had not flown two planes into the Twin Towers? Would we still be at war with Japan if we had not dropped two atomic bombs? Would we all be Muslim if the Romans had not crucified Jesus? Your question is meaningless

No. They would've been forced to accept Islam and then participate in the systematic stoning of American whores since Shariah would be the law of the U.S.

I don't support the President, and think invading Iraq was a bad decision.

Still, I think this question is in bad taste.

Perhaps some of them. But an even larger number including civilians would have died in terrorist attacks on American soil that never happened because the terrorist were too busy attacking our courageous men and women who volunteered to go and stand in the gap for you to have the liberty to insult their sacrifice.
