I found a lot of sense by rapper 50 cent's claim that it is easier to go after 8 individuals singing rap/Hiphop, rather than going after a big corporation like Paramount or Colombia pictures who include as much violent contents in their movie productions.?? Find videotape url link below:

I agree that visual combined with audio in a movie is more appealing and impressive than just listening to the sounds of a rapper? I'm a great fan of hiphop music, and I've always known right from wongs. Hiphop is just a listening pleasure and a genre music-a half influence of the entertainment industry....
Please debate....

Hip-hop artists do not help. They certainly perpetuate sexist ideas against women and violence and gang activity. It's not entirely their fault and our problems existed before hip-hop existed, but they are not helping. I take my stand by refusing to listen to it. If other women want to say it's okay for a rap or hip-hop artist to disrespect them, then that's their choice but I will not dance to it, listen to it and I'm outraged that women are viewed the way they are in hip-hop and women of all colors are not standing up to say no more.

I could live without either hiphop or hollywood frankly. As mr. cent may not have realized, there is also a music corporation and it's very happy that black music has stopped evolving (i.e. how it went from r&b to doo wop in the 50s, doo wop to ballads early 60s, ballads to motown late 60s, motown to funk 70s, funk to rap 80s, 90s, 00s....). I'm sure they find things more managable with people like him continuing to regurgitate rappers delight nearly 30 years later.

He's right about the movie industry, but he's also using as a scapegoat to continue writing derogatory music. I am a hip hop fan and the reason I, like you, know the difference between right and wrong are because of my parents. That is the main issue. Proper parenting and active parenting are something that society is lacking. This isn't a cultural issue...I see it from every ethnicity. We have to stop letting a computer and television raise our children.

Ultimately, it boils down to an education that is critical. What if you got rid of rap and corporations? There would still be problems in society.

Nothing in life is fair, it's all about
supply and demand. You know,
like your local cable, on DEMAND . . .

Corperation are there cause we put them
there, and ironically if you read up on the
artist your listening to, you'll find a lot of
them are those corperations . . .
