I had been on clomid and was pregnant within 3 cycles. I lost that one, had a d&c and was pregnant again within 3 cycles. I had been trying for 18 months before taking clomid. I had no side effects at all.

Hi! I was on clomid for 7 months without conceiving, then they did 2 cycles of IUI with clomid and I've just found out I'm pregnant! Yippee!!! So that was a total of 10 months on clomid altogether. Clomid was ok, although I did find that I had headaches when I was taking it. Good luck!

I had no side effects from Clomid. After the cycle I was checked for follicles and had 4. When I was due to ovulate I was given a shot of HCG which caused the eggs to release. This was VERY PAINFUL (not the shot, the egg release). I had never experienced cramping this bad. We had sex the next 2 days (which was also painful because of the cramping). And I am now 17 weeks pregnant!

i took clomid for the first time at the beginning of march and had an iui and got pregnant the first try. we were told we wouldn't be able to get pregnant without the iui due to other reasons, but only one month on clomid... no side effects, no multiples, just currently 18 weeks with one little one inside. we had a miscarriage 3 years ago and were trying since.

I took clomid for 3 months, no side effects. 1st 2 months i ovulated on 50mg, had my period on 1/16/07, and in 3/7/07 found out i was pregnant. Don't know if it was from clomid or a miracle. Good luck...

I stopped ovulating on Clomid. I really didn't need it because I knew I ovulated, but the doctor insisted that I try it to "super-ovulate." I told him I didn't want to mess with my natural ovulation cycles and that medications often have the opposite effect on me that they are supposed to have, but he told me that if I didn't do a round of Clomid, I couldn't get any other assistance. I did it, quit ovulating, and then it took three months to get that stuff out of my system so that I could ovulate on my own again. I got pregnant 14 months later after more testing revealed my problem and we fixed it.
My recommendation is that if you ovulate well, you shouldn't take a drug that is supposed to make you ovulate. However, if you can't ovulate on your own, Clomid certainly is a good protocol to try.
