Michael Moore has enough money to afford good health care and he still cares enough to try to change the situation for those who can not afford health care. If he needs surgery I'm sure he will have his choice of hospitals where ever he is at the time. He is not denigrating the quality of American Health Care he is pointing out that many of our hardworking citizens can not afford good health care because of the way it is financed through insurance companies who cater to corporations with large labor pools. People who work in small businesses pay outlandish fees for insurance while some cannot afford insurance at all;. if you have a pre existing condition and want to change jobs you may not be able to get insurance. If you are laid off from your job insurance costs will skyrocket. My neighbor spent some time in the hospital and a the business office marked his as not having insurance. His bill was over 12,000. When he corrected the error and they found out he was insured by his employer the bill was reduced to $3000.00 because the hospital had a deal with the insurance company.

It's not about being a hypocrite. Michael Moore probably has his own health insurance.

Do you?

I don't. My job doesn't provide insurance and I can't afford to buy it.

The movie he made is about the 45 MILLION uninsured Americans, 18,000 of whom die every year of easily treatable illnesses because they don't have insurance.

Whether you agree with Michael Moores politics or not, you have to admit that this countrys health care system is f*cked up. The rest of the world knows it, we know it, so why don't we change it?

We've spent trillions and trillions of dollars to invade Iraq, chasing a white rabbit. I wonder what could happen if that kind of money was spent on keeping this country healthy.

Actually... I highly doubt he'll do it here. Probably France.

I think Michael Moore had a really good point in that movie. Any system that will allow a person to DIE because they don't have enough MONEY to pay for a surgery should be brought down and its leaders imprisoned- for homicide.

He already said he is from the privileged percentage of people who are fully covered by their Union (the DGA) for practically the best health care in America. How many Americans can claim that??

America, but he'll pay about 250k for it. My father had one done in New Zealand cost him $40 and that was for the ambulance ride from the doctor's office to the hospital.
