I often ponder that thought, and realize that I just have to wait for the answer.

What does that question even mean? I think it generally indicates that the questioner is in some way (or all ways) disappointed with how she/he is living her/his life. So why not acknowledge this, and ask another question, and another and another.... until you can say 1) what you'd like some part of your life to be like (better than now - and only start with one part because the 'whole' of your life may be too overwhelming to deal with at once); 2) what you don't like about your life, 3) what are you willing to do to achieve '1'?

I think the only time it makes sense to take an active role in 'calling it quits' is if you're termininally ill or have a terminally untreatable exquisitely painful disease, (or if you're in a permanent vegetative state - have someone who can chose for you and make sure the person has your medical proxy).

The fact that your living means you have a life. Having a life is merely being alive. If you don't like where you are in your life simply make the choices that will put you on the direction
you want to be on... It is never time to call it quits. Find the meaning in yourself and you have found the meaning in the world

Your question is very similar to that of Albert Camus' who said, "The real question is not 'why suicide' by 'why not?'"
--Please note that I'm not telling you to call it quits nor do I want you to do so.
My point, as well as Camus' and the other Existentialists, is that there is no real point, purpose, or meaning to life/existence... we each make our own. All the choices you make, (or don't make), your action or inaction, your freedom, responsibility, likes/dislikes, etc... all go into making your own purpose for your own existence.
If you believe you have "no life" then there must be something you see "out there" that perhaps others have or are doing which you don't/aren't... so figure out what it is and do it; get it!
Do a self-evaluation/analysis... "Know Thyself."
"The unexamined life is not worth living." ~ Socrates.
It's time to start examining!!!

You have a life, you just haven't taken charge of it to embellish it to your liking. You make things happen in life by your actions, they just don't happen on their own. So go out there and make waves and then ask about calling it quits.

Whenever you feel like it, who else can make that determination for you?

Life is meaningless. No life anywhere in the world has meaning. Just because you figured it out doesn't mean you need to off yourself. You actually have more insight than 99.9% of the population. But if you choose to do so, that's your business.

Go to a walk in the forest, you will feel much better. Life are great, but you need to go more often to the nature. He will give you power.

Instead of whining about it DO something about it.
Don't sit back and expect others to hand you your life. Get involved in something. Volunteer your time. The best rewards come when you give your time to someone just because you feel the need to.

Honestly, there is no point to life. I mean that with a no joking. As to the latter question, only the individual can make that choice.
