Clinton was disbarred and impeached for lying under oath and committing perjury. Libby resigned from his job and was convicted of lying under oath and committing perjury.

Both men thought they were above the law and committed crimes because they thought they were more important or more powerful than the justice system.

Neither one of them will serve a day in prison, pay a dime for the legal fees, or suffer any long term professional penalties. Both of them disgraced themselves and helped destroy the American justice system.

Clinton did it to protect his own reputation and himself, Libby did it because his boss told him to and knew that he would be saved by the President later on.

William Clinton was not disbarred for having oral sex. He was disbarred for lying about it under oath. That is a felony called perjury.

He was impeached because as president, his number one priority is to uphold the law for every American. However, he decided that it was much better for him to lie under oath so he didn't look like a adulterous scumbag.

Libby was charged with obstruction of justice while investigators were looking into the Valerie Plame affair. That is when an agent of the government tries to derail an investigation by using his or her power. He was also charged with perjury.

Both of these are classic examples of why our government cannot be trusted to do the peoples business in an honest manner. I do not care if you are Democrat or Republican you are not above the law.

Well, it seems like Libby and Clinton will do about the same amount of time for perjury. Clinton lied under oath to deny a woman her constitutional rights under a sexual harrassement suit. I'm always surprised when women take up for him in this matter. Libby lied about a non-covert agent that was listed in "Who's Who" with her husband simply because he must be a moron.

PS: He wasn't investigated for "oral sex" he was being sued for sexual harrassment by Paula Jones.

I think it is incredibly stupid that the congress tried to impeach Clinton for something that had absolutely no bearing on our country's affairs. (They had no business putting him on trial for it to begin with. The perjury should have never even had to happen) If we impeached and disbarred every politician and lawyer for adultorous activities, we would probably have very few left. Look at most leaders of the world. They've all had numerous sexual partners besides their wives. It is not commendable as to Clinton's character but that didn't change the fact that he was able to diplomatically and peacefully resolve the violent conflicts in Northern Ireland, just to name one of his many accomplishments during his presidency.
What Libby did threatened national security and the welfare of a the CIA and every single person that was connected to it. All for what? Political revenge? That was not only careless but blatant treason, which is punishable by death. 30 months would have been a walk in the park. I think that Bush commuted his sentence because he felt guilty knowing that Cheney was just as at fault if not more so and Libby was their fall guy. I guess they don't call Bush's administration the "good ol' boy network" for nothing.
