Set yourself up on a scedule. They actually have a chart you can use to make up a chore sheet on Microsoft works. It breaks it down by chore and days they should be done on. Treat it like a job, because it is. Dishes should be done daily and as soon as you get up from the meal, they are so much easier to do when they are not dried and caked with old food. Run the vacuum every day. Other things can be scheduled out to be done on alternating days. As soon as a load of laundry has built up, do it and that includes folding and putting away. If you do a little every day rather than waiting for one particular day, it would only take a couple hours daily rather than a whole day.

The list will work only if you stick to it. I find myself drifting from the list and going on line, talking on the phone or watching TV. If I make the list and stick too it GREAT.
One other thing is I make dinner a process that might take three hours to prepare. Not a constant 3 hours but a mariande that I have to put together at 1:00, then cleaning the veggies at 2:30, Preparing the sauce at 3:30, Things like that that keep me away from the other distractions.
I also try to do house tasks on an every other day routine. Dust and pick up on W-F Vac on T Th. Windows Monday ( I hate Mondays)
I also have a list of things that need to be done if I have "extra time" clean basement, paint a room, etc.
As a teacher I am home all summer and this is what I have to do or I will:
1) Be bored to death,
2) Sleep til noon
3) Be a game-showahloic
4) GET FAT
5) Kill one of the kids! or
6) Piss my wife off so much I'll not have sex for months!
Best of luck and plan ahead it works

Unless you are totally disorganized, what discipline is there? First off, you are only off temporarily. If you get too used to be a homemaker, your mentality will change. People quit jobs to stay home because they want to enjoy that life. Do what you enjoy. It doesn't mean vacuuming or cooking all day. It can mean catching up with old or new friends.
One thing about working couples is they don't have high expectations about good dinners every night. If you change that pattern and then go back to work, ask if you can handle it.
Most men don't really care that much if the house is clean and top shape anyway.

In the same boat, what I have learned is to get up as i would if I were still working, make my bed , take ashower to get motivated and get my daily work done. It is amazing how much and fast you can get things done when you "just do it". Turn on your favorite music and blast it througout the house and get cleaning. Works for me. I can have everything done in like an 30 minutes if I keep up with it on a daily basis. Wipe down kitchen and wash any dishes 1st thing, mop floor , same with bathroom , and only scrub shower/tub every 2-3 days. Take the vaccuum from room to room with me as with any cleaning supplies I may need , take a kitchen bag with me for wastebaskets throught the house,as well as used papertowels for mirrors, dusting,,ect.. along with bags to reline the baskets...all goes in the 1 bag and out to the trash wen done. Be a whirlwind and in 15 minutes you can accomplish alot..in between rooms throw in a load of laundry, ect...Put dinner in the crockpot and it will cook while you are cleaning, then relax and watch tv or go out and get some air..key is to keep moving, once you sit down you dont want to get back up...do your cleaning i the morning.

So what's the distraction that's holding you up? This? Have the discipline in walking away from it for a few hours. Do some of your chorse, return, answer a few questions and then walk off again.

properly it form of feels you're on your way Ruby to placing significant objectives on your existence...Staying domicile as a "housewife" is enormously plenty a ingredient of the previous through economics of existence, nonetheless nonetheless carried out a stable deal contained in the mid-west and south regularly (comprehensible once you notice how their economic device/training fare, poorly i'm afraid) different than in situations the place there is many times, significant lack of understanding and honestly little or no ambition or vanity or archaic suggestions that not artwork for society many times for the main area. I would desire to consider you...Years at domicile are in basic terms stable while you're professional-energetic including your babies AND husband as a spouse, or perhaps at that? it is going to in no way be seen comparable to an entire time interest - it fairly is great in case you could temper domicile responsibilities with some form of outdoors/area-time artwork. Being a properly rounded guy or woman who grows with existence stories demands which you be subjected to it as an person - in an person international, not relegated to strictly parenting and the isolation that oftentimes being a housewife maintains to deliver many women, quite people who placed up in this board...(youthful girls, i might upload) I would desire to ask your self of people who published right here as housewives? If any also have a sturdy, reductions account of their very own for that "wet day" would desire to it happen of their existence (i.e., husband walks out, divorce, death, ailment) I heavily doubt they do... First thing in the morning, crank up the radio and do everything you absolutely have to get done that day as quick as you can. Then take the rest of the day off

How can you be bored if there is work to be done? Get up and do what needs to be done, then when you are finished you can relax with a book or whatever you want to do.
