If they can raise $20 mil in a few months, why don't they put it to good use instead of just running their mouths? We all know healthcare (among other social probs) sucks, why can't they use their money for something other than making people try to like them???

They are not intrested in the social programs, they are intrested in power and fame. Do you think Michael Moore is going to donate all the profits from Sicko to the uninsured?

LMAO & ROFL....oh man....the phrase "something productive" and the word "politicians" in the same sentence. That's rich. The only thing politicians can do is pay back the big corporations that paid to get them into power. HAHAHA!! It is the American Way of Government. This nation is no longer "Of the People, By the People and For the People". No way. That idea left port many decades ago. The USA is a corporate government. Sure, we vote every so often, but look at the moronic choices we have for our elected officials. Especially the presidency. ALL of the fools currently campaigning for the presidency (and they only started 22 months before the actual election), have long been bought and paid for by big business. They will say whatever it takes to get our vote (well, maybe half our votes since I don't think most people will even bother in november 2008), and then they will need to "pay the piper" - that being the giant corporations and lobbyists that got them the $$$$ to campaign.

As long as we have only 2 parties to choose from (and don't be fooled; they don't want a viable 3rd party and the current system that they created won't allow it), we will see our power over the gov't dwindle even further. Eventually somethings gotta give and major changes will occur - just like they did roughly 230 years ago.

Because "campaign funds" can only be used for campaigns. It would be embezzling otherwise.
