I upgrade it till it can't be upgraded anymore then buy a new one.
Always wait until a new processor or system comes out. Stay one upgrade behind you'll save tons of money.

I'd rather build my own computer. Then I can put everything in it that I want or need and it will totally upgradable in the future. For me, computers aren't one size fits all.
