Well, if by "against" you mean that you prefer to date within your own race, than yes, you can prefer to date within your own race and not be racist. I have talked to a few black girls who only want to date black men, and I don't consider that racist, that is just a personal preference.

But if by "against" you mean that you want to apply this preference against others, either by social ostracization, ridiculing and harassing inter-racial couples, or passing laws against that, then yes, that is racist.

Bob Jones University had a racist ban on inter-racial relationship at his University, and only lifted that ban when it became a political liability.

Bottom line, date who ever you are attracted to, and let others date according to their own preferences. In other words MYOB.

I'd have to say no in most cases. A person can be personally opposed and not be racist, but if they criticize other people's choices then yes.

A. Just about all people against interracial dating and marriage are also racist.

B. Being against interracial relationships signals a racist based way of thinking.

I'm in an interracial relationship, so I'm speaking from experience, a lot of people opposed to the relationship just had that racist feel to them.

If you object to a union simply because it's an interracial one then I don't know what else you could call it.
Can you have a preference without being racist? Yes.
For example I may be particularly attracted to white people with dark hair, and seek out relationships with those who fit the bill. The fact that I am not attracted to say black skin does not make me a racist.

I comprehend what you assert besides. i substitute into in contact in many interracial dating and that i in no way felt the might desire to broadcast it or tell everybody I met often human beings found out on their very own. some human beings sense like it supplies them a boast or makes them particular because of the fact they're relationship interracially exceedingly once you're conversing with somebody a pair of subject rely that doesn't have something to do with relationships yet they sense the might desire to show it. in case you somewhat shield somebody, comprehend them and love them then their is not any might desire to show their race.

yes you can.. say you are worried that they may have children and the children will have a tough life because of it.. or that you are worried that other people will treat the couple with disdain.. that isn't racism.. that is just fear and allowing others to dictate your thoughts.

Not really. You can be that way for your own life but if you oppose other people doing it then there are some issues there.
