He just had an operation to get rid of his sciateas. He has diabetes. Before the operation, he couldn't walk because of the same pinching feeling in his entire leg. Now, he has it again, even though it's AFTER the operation. What can we do????

Thanks, and please give some serious answers.
I already know about going to the docter and massaging him, so dont write tha.

Well i'm no expert here but maybe you should convince him to go to the doctors!

Depending on how recently he had the surgery, there may be some left over swelling and irritation at the site which will pass with time. I hope he is following the doctor's instructions about after surgery care and exercises. If it's exactly the same pain, it's probably from the same source. Lying down with pillows beneath his lower legs to raise the knee to a 90 degree angle can bring some temporary relief.

On the other hand, since he is a diabetic, there is always the possibility that he has some impairment in the circulatory system in his leg, so if it doesn't clear up fairly soon, I'd definitely get it checked out.

I wish you and your Dad good luck. I have no expertise here, but if you're consulting the users on YahooAnswers, you're probably better served posting your question under "health", and then finding a more specific area. Or, there are other sites on the web --webmd.com , perhaps, that may help you.

Also, can you call the doctor who performed the operation? Does your Dad have another doctor who is treating him for the diabetes, or is there another doctor you can consult?

Sorry child, but the best answer is to send him back to the doctor.

This question belongs in "Men's Health," NOT in the baseball section!! Put it where it belongs, and you may just get some good answers.

Chow!!
