Nope, I actually have a little trick that helps me be among the first 20, sometimes even first 5 ;) Beside, I write my answer not for the sake of bragging. And you know what else? if the question is interesting (which is usually followed by many funny answers) it's really worth reading each of them.
I don't answer the artists' "Official" question. There's gonna be a long queue only to post yours and I think no one reads the answers there. Besides, people sound very hypocritical answering these empty questions and giving 100s of stars.

Um, isn't this the WAY TOO PALE pic? The one you had before was much better.

Sometimes, but hey, if it's a good question, I'll do it anyway, and then *star* the Question, that way it *should* in theory attract some attention to the thing no matter where on the 5th page it lands. o_O
Assuming of course that people don't just look at my answer and go "Eeewww, there he goes again," and give me a Thumbs Down just to *collapse* the thing. Some folks do that to anything that isn't a one-liner.
(but hey, it could be worse, at least I don't copy and paste *pages and pages* about the Ottoman Empire or something, *lol*)
Thanks for your time! ^_^

Yes, but its often because I think that it will probably be a duplication of what someone else said, and I am not passionate enough about the subject.
Another thing, it is quite interesting to change the order of the answers so that the newest are on top when reading them. I find it quite refreshing!

All the time, I think the is the main draw to this whole thing, getting your answer up high on the list and seeing how many thumbs up and down you get. At least, that's the case for me.
Dammit, case in point, I'm not even on the first page.

Yeah. Some have enough answers that have already properly given them the right answer, so what's the point. Besides, if that's the case, I'd rather save my ans. for someone else. You can only ans. so many Q's in a day.

All the time. It seems like if a question goes to voting, the first answer will win at least half the time even if the answer is wrong.

not at all. i've learned that sometimes a BA can come from far down the list.
the only people whose questions i won't answer even if the question is GOOD is someone i suspect to be a reporter troll.

Sometimes. However, on a number of occasions I've gotten best answer when I was pretty far down on the list.
