To be banned from driving means you are not allowed to drive for a certain period of time mormally set by a court. To have your licence revoked means that you cannot drive until you have retaken your theory and practicle test again or even an extended practicle test if again set by a court. If you are still a new driver, (eg, less than 2 years since passing your test) it can be revoked because you have accumilated 6 points on your licence.

It's usually a complete denial of your driving privileges, but there are other tiers of privileges they can revoke, such as no driving after dark. It's usually caused by excessive traffic tickets, DUIs or accidents, but there are other situations where you can get your license revoked. If you're caught driving with a revoked license, you can get heavily fined, your car can be impounded or you can be jailed.
Your car insurance will be the biggest financial hit. If you keep your record clean, the insurance company will lower your rates over time. If you just got the revocation, your insurance company won't change your rates for a while. If you trust your insurance agent, talk to him or her about how to time any changes to your insurance.

Revoked means the licence is taken away from the owner and therefore cannot drive.A ban is a fine of being disqualified from driving for a set period of time.

To revoke (n) the mistake of not following suit when able to do so.
to revoke (v) able to follow suit when able and required to do so
to revoke (v) annul or revoke by rescinding: He revoked the ban on smoking.
A ban means you're not allowed to do something at all, a disqualification means you're disqualified for a certain period of time.

driving a vehicle is a privilege not a right...
revoked - you can't drive any more
ban - you are banned from driving
disqualification - you did not meet the basic qualifications and cannot drive.
really there is little to no difference in the different words...the bottom line is you cannot and should not drive for the safety of yourself and others.

Banned means not allowed to drive. Disqualified mean the same although technically you could be banned whilst still being qualified if you still held your licence (as that is your qualification to drive). Revoked means your licence is taken away as if you had never had one.

Tis a polite way for the traffic policeman to say dat u are grounded.
But the implications are that ur license is taken away and according to the rule of the land, you would either have to reapply for the license with a test or a hefty fine.

to have your driving licence revoked means that you were permitted to have it but now for some reason you are not allowed it.
A ban is when you drive at the moment but have comitted an offence so you may no longer drive for a given period.
To be disqualified from driving means you are no longer entitled to hold a driving licence for a fixed period or indefinately depending on the offence. maclaren.

Revoked means they take your lic back/away.
You can be banned from driving in certain places, I had a friend who got banned from driving in NY state(for six months), not the state he lived in.
