No, you can get in big trouble if you call the police for no reason. If you think about it, you could be taking up time with the police that someone in need is losing!
Please don't call the police unless you have an emergency.

NO! there could be an emergency.And you never want to call the police for no reason!Also my uncle is a highway state patrolman and I am friends with alot of cops and most of my neighbors are cops or chief of police ,and I know that they would not appreciate you calling for no reason.I think you can get in trouble for doing that because if their was an emergency you could be stopping them from stopping crime or saving a person or animal.You never want to call for no reason.

Please do not do that if you have no compelling reason to do so. I'm not sure where you live, but many police officers are extremely busy and overworked. To take time out to answer a crank call is unfair and takes them away from more pressing business. These kinds of calls end up costing the public more and more each year. They pass the costs on to all of us in the form of higher taxes. So, this hurts all of us, including your family, in the long run.
I understand it is your right to do so and it may seem like harmless fun, but please consider the consequences of your actions beforehand. Thanks!

NO you should not ,didn't your Mother every tell you the danger of doing these kind of things .......... one day you may really need the police but they want come because they will think ,never mind she / he is just calling to have something to do ..........nothing to worry about ........

If you call the police for no reason, they will issue you a summons or even take you to jail.

no don't. :D i call 911 one time i was 12 i just wanted t chk if they were real u know if they would come and i called and hang up ..as soon as i hung up they called me again asking is there any emergency ...i got so scared i told my mom ..then she told 911 lady no my daughter just wanted to see if 911 was for real..but at night police car did came to our house circled around few times...i got s scared i won't call after that

My stepdad was a police officer in NYC and all cops hate being called out for no reason.

No, not only can they take you to jail for too many false calls, but you are taking them away from people who really need them. Their job is not to be prank called by some idiotic little girl who has nothing else better to do.
