They have 80 games left. I say they go 53-27. Bringing them to 103-59. I say Pronk will come back from his slump and start hitting more home runs. I don't think anyone will fall. Indians take the division.

Tribe stay on top and take the Central. They are doing really good right now and they havn't had much of a break with the makeups and all. C.C. is one of the best pitchers in the majors. Cliff is gettin back into he swing of things. And for Hafner, for as good of a hitter as he is, he can only get better from here. Everyone knows how good he can be. If they can keep the offense gonig they should be set. Also need to be work on the setup. Some setup guys are too inconsistent at times. However much i'd like it, I don' think they will go far in the playoffs if they make it though.

I think Hafner will get it going in the second half. They will need him to if they want to stay in first. I'm still concerned about the bullpen, however, the starting pitching has been outstanding so far. With Westbrook coming back, maybe they can move a guy to the pen. I'm hoping Carmona doesn't slide the second half, as he has never pitched a full season as a starter.
There's no reason why they shouldn't make the playoffs barring any major injuries.
80-0 second half. Just kidding!! I'm predicting 96 wins this year.

I think that the Indians will do just as well for the second half of the season.
Players that will improve:
Grady Sizemore (more hits and less strikeouts)
Travis Hafner (more homeruns)
Jake Westbrook (more wins)
Sizemore just recently broke out of a hitting slump in which he struck out more times than getting on base.
Travis Hafner has recently hit 6 homeruns in the last 10 games. When he gets hot again, pitchers will not want to pitch to him.
Jake Westbrook has his nasty curveball back. He was quite confident in last Sunday's win against the Devil Rays. If he can remain consistent with his pitches he should do fine.
Players that will fall:
Jeremy Sowers (recently drafted back to minors)
Sowers was rocked in his last start giving up seven runs against Rochester, but the Bisons managed to win the game in the 10th inning. Right now I don't see him returning to Cleveland any time this season.

I don't see any of the Indians failing so much. I can't see Casey Blake doing as well as he's doing in the 2nd half. And I really don't think Carmona can continue to dominate like he has been. I want to think he can, but seeing his struggles in the bullpen last season makes me cringe when he's on the mound. He has proven well in the rotation though. (aside from the start before last) I think Sizemore will keep up at the pace he is at, but begin to get more hits and strike out less, up that average of his around the .300, .310 mark.
HAFNER will definitely turn things around. He's destined for greatness. The tribe needs to load up the bases for him like they did last season, so he can crank out another 6 grand slams.
I think Victor Martinez will continue to hit the ball like he is...crazy! He's getting the job done, and as long as he keeps hitting like he's hitting, Sizemore does his job and Hafner comes around, the offense will put up good numbers.
Pitching wise, I think Sabathia will start pitching more like he was in his last few starts, and finish the year off with 23 wins and the CY Young Award.
I think the Indians will finish the division out in front, with the Tigers nipping at their heels. It will be interesting to see what happens. Even though I'm a White Sox fan, I'm pulling for the Indians in this one...I have realized now that the Sox have no shot in this division, ha ha.

I think The Indians will do fine in the 2nd half.
As I've been saying ever since spring training;
Cleveland & Detroit will be battling it out all year.
Just hope and pray you guys don't go "2005" (losing 11 of the last 13 games) on us.
I think Detroit will win the division, simply because we have better starting pitching. We have 3 SOLID starters (Bonderman, Verlander, and Rogers) and a very solid 4th starter (Miller, he's still very young and learning. he will only get better the more starts he has under his belt).
You guys have CC and Byrd.
Detroit takes the Division by 1, and you take the wild card.
The last week of the season favors us both, and will come down to the last weekend of the season.

I don't think Carmona will fall, I think he and CC will remain great. Improvements I'm not sure everyone is hitting now, I know Hafner had a little slump, but it's hard to say.
Borowski could use improving , he can stop pi$$ing me off.
I'm still worried about these next 3 very important games.
I wouldn't say a team is or isn't a contender with over half a seson left, it's way too early to tell.
GO TRIBE!!

I think their pitching will not be as strong the second half. Sabathia will lead the way but Byrd and the others are going to struggle. I think they are the real deal offensively. They have enough punch in their bats to keep it close in October.

I think they can still do well and make the playoffs. It's going to depend on their pitching. If Carmona can pitch the 2nd half the way he has the first and Borowski can be....well....if he doesnt suck, they can win that division.
