My Computer has infected by more spyware. How to remove them ?

Go to "MajorGeeks.com", which has lots and lots of free software to download. When you click on the "anti-spyware" or "anti-malware" button, then click on the "License" tab, and it'll rearrange all the listing so the freeware is first.

A lot of people have AVG on their computers, but there's always something that gets thru. You CAN'T have just ONE antispyware program. It won't protect you from everything. Download 2, 3, or even 4 of them from Major Geeks.

You CAN'T run them ALL AT ONCE. Choose one for your regular, then once a week or so, UNPLUG from the web, and then run the other antispyware programs to cover areas the main one couldn't.

You have to turn off your firewall when you're installing these programs, otherwise, the firewall might see them as bad stuff and not let them be downloaded.

I strongly suggest to download from Major Geeks, Windows DEFENDER. It has been highly rated.

Many of these have firewall abilities, that when maxed out, they question nearly everything that comes along from the web.

Not all of these are free. Some are trial versions for a limited time, with limited features. Some of them are completely free, but they also have annoying popups trying to get you to buy the upgrade.

If you click on the name, you get to the Download page, there's a description of what each program will do. Off to the right, there's also a rating (out of 5) on how well users like it. I try and get 4.4 and above.
Also, in the main listings, look for their "PICK" label, because that's what Major Geeks recommends.

I would suggest you install Windows DEFENDER, then choose another spyware program such as I recommended to also run with it Then once weekly or every other week, as I already said, UNPLUG---don't just turn off from web----UNPLUG the ethernet or web cable, just to make sure. There are things that can get thru even when still plugged in.

Then run each of the spyware programs completely, with deep or full scans. You can turn off the firewalls since you're not plugged into web, and you won't get reinfected.

No single program will save you from everything. I have up to about 7-8 antispyware programs on my laptop, and I run a few of them weekly, changing around, so that they cover all fields and possibilities.

Firstly update and run your anti-virus product. You can also run a free online scan as well as some malware can actually corrupt or disable your resident security products. Here are a few online scans you can run:

Third, after cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process.

Lastly, you may also want to install the following tool. It is free and requires you to check for and enable updates manually once a week or so. It uses no system resources.

Try a online antivirus scanner and a online anti-adware/malware/spyware scanner in safe mode with network to clean up your computer BEFORE you download anything. This because the program you download can get infected.

Disable "System Restore" for Windows Me and XP, then restart your PC to clean your system restore points for viruses, spyware, adware etc.

To get in safe mode Press "F8" upon bootup.
Select "Safe mode with Networking".
Go to Start – Run - type iexplore http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html Enter(ok).
Do a full system scan. If something is found, delete it, reboot and do the same again in safe mode with network.
When that scan does not find anything you reboot again in safe mode with network.
Go to Start – Run – type iexplore http://www.ewido.net/en/ Enter(ok).
Do a full system scan. If something is found, delete it, reboot and do the same again in safe mode with network.

**NOTE: Do NOT do anything else with your computer when scanning. This because you can start virus/adware/spyware/malware manually.

When no one of these scanners are showing anything you can reboot back to normal mode.

I use Norton Internet Security (antivirus, spyware, firewall, add blocker, mail spamfilter, pop up blocker etc) Ad Aware, Spybot and more on my desktop running XP Home SP2 with Firefox and Yahoo Toolbar with pop up blocker.
On my laptop i have Ubuntu 7.04. No security needed in Linux, but i use antivirus and firewall. Firefox is standard.
