Ok this might sound wierd, but I do really believe that astrology has something to do with personalities. I don't think its 100% reliable or study it as a religion or anything, but I do think it does clue you in to why you might be feeling a certain way that day or give you a teeny bit of insight of what to do next if your faced with something challenging. I mean even the chinese calendar seems to me a little true. My mom is a Virgo in astrology, but a snake in the chinese calendar. Shes got those personality extremes like she can be sweet one minute to me and lash out at my stepdad the next. Who knows, I just know what I read, but does anyone else feel like this?

Yes...I do. While I do not study it either...nor do I live my life by what my horoscope may dictate..I do believe that some of it is "right on the money" when it comes to personality types...for example, everyone I have ever known who was a Capricorn, were; straightforward, liked gifts that had a real purpose (like a briefcase or calculator), the females I've known were NOT frilly, girly, girls..but very no-nonsense in their dress and appearance..and all of above intelligence. (just for the record, I'm an Aquarian)...
I think astrology can be fun and entertaining...and sometimes pretty darned close...but I would never suggest living ones life by it...
However, I think you have a very healthy view of it...

I don't believe it but consider this analogy:
On full moons, people are a bit crazier. Pilice, fire and ambulance hate full moon shifts. Even the word lunatic comes from this. That's because the gravity of the moon tidally affects the fuids on the brain and causes a little "lunacy".
So using that idea, the relative position of all the bodies around the sun might exert some "pull" at different angles on the brain or body, combinations of which might steer personality.
But remeber, most astrology, when you hide the name of the zodiac sign, seems true to 80% of the population - it's so generic.

i agree with you, but i only follow the astrological calendar, not the chinese one. i am a sagittarius and jupiter is said to rule my fate. i don't believe the whole "since you're a pisces, today is a great day to shop" horoscope, but i do beleive that we were born when we were for a reason and our personalities can be predicted. of course, your personality can always be altered by your family environment but for the most part, i have known many people to fit their signs to a tee.

There are more to a persons personality then just their natal chart. Believe it or not our facial features have to do with our personality as well. People with widows peaks tend to be more passionate. People who have short eye brows tend to be hot tempered when it comes to their ambitions etc....
Also you are not looking at the big picture when it comes to horoscopes, there are so many planets and other influences on people than just their Sun sign.

u can't ever depend on astrology or that kind of stuff. if all tht had been true why didn't they plan for the trouble foreseen? all the calamities the accidents. win or lose in a game or somthing...

See.... Normally I would, except one of my best friends has the same exact birthday as me and we are three hours apart (twins would fall in this category too)... We are so different and our moods are always so opposite from one another. We are both Aries too, and I know from the description I am a true Aries.. more so than her.
But if astrology were true, we would be very similar in our character, no?

i didn't believe it at first but for alot of my friends & family members, their sign has something to do with their personality so it can't be a concidence for all of them.
mine too.
even some of the daily horoscopes come true somehow alot of days.

those are real...i attempted putting on my mascara without placing out my mouth and its effin impossible....i might in no way think of a guy might actual choose a woman to deliver them flora......my hunny may well be so embarrassed if i sent him flora to his paintings....ohwell i provide him loads of alternative reliable issues.
