My husband loves WWE. Why? What is the point of this, it is nothing more than staged fighting?

Love the name Vannabanana! You are correct. Maybe because men refuse to grow up. Brains over brawn honey. Many men are very aggressive. We are raised to be that way. Father need to promote intelligence and peaceful thinking over fighting.
Women know this and are raised as such. Why do they think they call you the stronger sex? Peace!

I guess i should ask this question. Why do you love what you love?

I've been a wrestling fan for 40 years. I'll give you some things to think on

1. Its Entertaining. Staged or not. Its entertaining.

2. its Pointless. Mindless entertainment. It doesn't take a PH.D to understand it.

3. At least he's watching wrestling and not out at some bar. At least you know where's he's at and he's enjoying himself.

Like I said, I've been a fan of wrestling for 40 years and I just enjoy watching something that doesn't make me think. I can just sit back and watch it.

As to the staged fighting, yes it is, but, they do get hurt. Undertaker has a torn bicep. Triple H tore his quad. Gregory Helms had 2 broken vertebra. It may be staged, but the injuries that happen are very real.

He is, like most men are, simple. He doesn't even think about the fact that it's staged, he doesn't care. It's entertainment. Most good men are simple, you should be happy. Less simple men can be exciting for a woman for a time, but they tend to be unreliable. If you remember he is a boy on the inside, you can see his fascination with WWE as cute, instead of annoying.

Men can identify with their favorite wrestlers because some of their pent up aggression and angst is released through the staged fights in wrestling. And when one goes down at the hands of another( A bad wrestler cheating to beat a good wrestler), the man's ability to overcome the beating and avenge the mis-justice. Much as it is in real life.

Well,for me it's entertainment.

Wrestling is a little more than staged fighting. It's staged wrestling, but people do get hurt sometimes.

Sometimes, the WWE can get boring.Because it's scripted, the script writors make some wrestlers win all the time.(Which loses fans sometimes)

Anyway, you're right. It's just staged fighting.Does your husband like UFC and cagefighting also?I do.Just because of the action.Your husband MAY like WWE because of the action.

I also forgot to add, that he may like the wwe for the divas. There almost naked.Talk to him about that!

Hoped I helped!

I have watched WWE only a couple of times and it is with my brother-in-law who is a huge fan. I sit there and laugh because it is so phony and to hear him talk about it only makes me laugh more.
I used to wrestle in high school and there are three - three minute sessions and you are dead tired after a match. Now that's the real deal and there are rules in place to prevent serious injury. I have been body-slammed from an opponent with his knee on the padding which is legal and it hurt like h*ll and took my breath away. Needless to say i lost that match. But most of the guys I know regard WWE as a joke.

Like any television show out there "it's entertaining". Of course it is staged, all the moves are pre-rehearsed, and they don't hit each other so hard that it will hurt them badly. I love wrestling, but this was not the case a year ago. I just like tha fact that it is funny at points. You have favorites and you have people who you hate. You like to see who will hold the title this week and who your champion will have to defend it against. It is just fun. Depends on what you consider fun of course.

I'll go beyond the "mens soap opera" and praise for the Divas, and just admit that even at its dumbest, it's a great guilty pleasure.

I know a lot of guys who use it to get TV time away from their wives, too!

Mine will watch for Cena, though...

I like it also, and watch it with my husband. Yes, it is a testosterone soap opera, that is fake and planned out, but it is exciting. To see "fighting" and wrestling is cool. Most of us couldn't even begin to try to do the stunts these guys do, so we watch to see what will happen next. Why do women (not all and not me) watch regular soap operas. They Like to. Same with wrestling.
