Shakespeare is an example of incredibly good writing and imagination. If you cannot see that, I suggest that SCHOOL (not scholl) is exactly where you need to be. I would suggest that you try paying attention, and put your erroneous opinions on hold. You get free schooling, guaranteed by your country, take advantage of it and LEARN something, instead of whining about what you are taught. In other words, try growing up a bit.

He was one of the greatest playwrights that ever lived. His plays are relevant today. Did you see Ten Things I Hate About You? That was The Taming of the Shrew. What about She's the Man? That was Twelfth Night. I taught my 8th graders A Mid-summer Night's Dream. The majority loved it because they liked the challenge of figuring out the language (even though we had a book that was half modern, half Shakespearean), and they also thought the play itself was pretty funny. They wanted to do more. Seriously, they asked if we could read another one. Consider it a challenge and a part of cultural history. It may not be your thing, but most people expect one to have passing knowledge of Shakespeare.

it is a classic...rarely do we find in this day in age anyone that can write with such passion. I know its hard to read but once you get the hang of it, it can be interesting. Just give it a shot and if you still dont understand it i'm sure there are alot of "translations" into modern english that you can read. The essential part is that people need to read alot more these days...

1) It's classic. An experience you share with people around the world, old and young, for centuries.
2) It's political and social commentary, in Code, you big dummy! Once you figure that out, you'll be referring to it for the rest of your life. Like everybody else does, whether they know it or not, because it's become such an integral part of our world culture.
