Go to AOL.com and download AOL Instant Messenger, a.k.a. AIM. That would be a good place to start.

ICQ is a good way 2 start. U can try chatting on the Internet first b4 downloading any kind of Messenger service from the Internet. Then u'll know what 2 expect.
