Just give prizes for the game, or have the prizes be for the mom to be if you don't want anybody to feel left out. You could also just have little party favors (small baby bottles/rattles filled with candy) on the tables for people to take.

You just give prizes to the ones who win. If the baby shower is not for you then you give the person who is having a baby the present. if it is yours you get the present. The prizes and presents are for the babies.

usually ,yes everyone who attends the baby shower does get a favors as a token.I handed out a envelope to each of my guest as they arrive,so I can send them a thank you card later. This way I have all the addresses, which I use during the year especially at Xmas's time.Yes I do have prizes for the winner of the games also.My favorite game is the potato game. You will need one potato, one jar that the potato can fit through. The object of the game is who can drop the potato into the jar,but you place the Potato in between your knees on the inside with the point of the potato down, walk a few inches holding the potato, which is not a easy task. You look funny holding it,but its lots of fun.The winner is who can do it.Have fun,I do as well as my guest.Let me know what happens.

In my baby shower experiences, most people give out favors at showers. They don’t have to be elaborate favors and if money is an issue there are plenty of economical ideas out there. You can give out little bags of candy or a candle with some pretty twine around it (dollar store ï ).
Here is one website I found on Baby shower etiquette (there are several out there):
http://www.plan-the-perfect-baby-shower.com/baby-shower-etiquette.html
I even found a site with party favors. Please see the website below for some favor ideas.
http://www.babyshower101.com/baby_shower_favors.html
Note: Some people choose not to give out favors if they are providing food and drink. But whether or not your guests will expect favors really depends on the people you have invited. Do they people on your guest list usually give out favors when you go to their parties?

Any showers I have thrown, I do the favor thing for everyone attedning, a small bag with little things, bath bombs wrapped in tule and ribbon, candy bars( with homemade wrappers), fake matchbooks with mints in them printed on the outside off computer.small things, and everyone gets one, also I mark 1 bag on the bottom, put them on each chair in the room where the shower is being held, whoever picked the chair with the marked bag gets a prize. Also when I mailed out the invites, I printed special cards, like words of advice, recipe cards...ect...people can fill out and bring with them to the shower, and I place a basket to put all cards in for the guest of honor to have, nice personal thing from each person. Makes for a fun time and well planned..and doesnt take alot of time..very impressive and fun to do.

Every baby shower Ive been to it was just prizes. All of which were "babY" things and the understadnign was that they all got "left behind" for the new mom.

I put out little plastic favor boxes with candy, and little baby bottles with bath crystals in them. Then I had some bigger things for the game winners. It's inexpensive to do the favors. You can buy the bath crystals, candy, and sometimes the little bottles and boxes at the dollar stores. I know the little bottles and boxes are at Wal-Mart. Good luck.

I would just do prizes. I've never seen anyone give favors to everyone present.

It depends on your budget. There is no rule that says you have to give favors. It would be nice to have a little something to eat and drink, it doesn't have to be expensive, but if you can't afford it, don't stress out about it. A baby shower is for people to bring gifts for your baby.

my mom did something kinda crazy for my babyshower...she gave the winners of the games prizes, but they were baby toys for me! I hated that....I thought it was weird and kinda rude...so don't do that! lol
As for favors, I made up a thank you note from the baby saying that he/she would see them in a couple months (or whenever) then I rolled it like a scroll and tied it with pink and blue ribbons. That was a hit!
