why are some of you saying that the mongols are not a race?

Check out this web page from an "official" Mongolian site. Its clear from the first sentence that shouting was part of the Medieval Mongol Army's "psyc-ops" to intimidate and demoralise their enemies.
This is known as a "turn of phrase" and is no more racist than saying someone "fights like a Tartar" (or am I going to get into trouble with all you Tartars?).

Not at all because I presume it is referring to the Mongolian army of Ghenkis Khan (who could shout very loud) and is not discriminating in any way, shape or form (remember, racism is discrimination based on ethnicity - not simply REFERING to ethnicity, as many people now believe)
It's NOT referring to someone with down-syndrome as some idiots have suggested.

Whilst the term "Mongoloid" may be recently used in reference to a person with Downs Syndrome, the phrase 'shout like a Mongol' is not using the word in this way. Think of the word p*ssy. It could be used in reference to a cat (completely non-offensive or prejudiced) or in reference to a vagina or coward. Words need to be taken in context.

Where did you get that expression from? I have never heard it before. A Mongol is a form of person not a race as such,although you think of Mongolia. It s not a polite thing to say whether it is racist or not.

Anybody and everybody shouts, to claim that mongols hold the monopoly on shouting indicates a short-circuited brain if u ask me.

I thought a mongol was some kind of animal? I wouldnt think its racist anyways its not as strong as the "N" word of any of those is it since most of the people who answerd this has never even herad of it including me
