Because they hate the fact that Scooter Libby did not go to prison just like Clinton did not go to prison even though Clinton committed perjury.
Some people fail to realize that the media already knew about the "covert" agent before Libby said anything.

It seems the Repubs are the ones confused about what Libby was convicted for. The Dems know he was convicted of lying to a grand jury and obstruction of justice, both felonies. I am not surprised. That was the deal Libby had with the White House all along .....keep your mouth shut, do not tell the truth and implicate Cheney, Rove, and probably Bush, if you take the fall you'll do no jail time because you'll be pardoned. Will we see Fred Thompson raising money to pay Scooters fine? The Repubs are a criminal joke.

The democrats will do anything to make the Republican party look bad...even lie.
I don't see why he got 30 months in jail either. I mean, Clinton lied to the whole country about his relations with Monica Lewinsky...under oath, and didn't even get as much as a slap on the wrist. It is ridiculous.
A lot of people think that Bush pardoned him because the media has blown this whole thing out of proportion. The biased liberal media doesn't tell the truth, they will do whatever it takes to see the Republican party gone. It is sad that the media is so corrupt these days. The whole country looks at Libby like he is the bad guy, but you said it, he didn't even leak the name. It is ridiculous.
I would love to live in a country one day where the liberals and the media tell the truth for once...but, that won't happen and because of their influence on people, America will continue to believe these lies.

Libby was not pardoned. His sentence was commuted which means he does not have to do the jail time. Bush commuted the sentence because Libby took the hit for the administration by keeping his mouth shut and taking the fall with his chin up. That is how the good ole' boy network functions. Libby is to Bush what Liddy was to Nixon.

No he wasn't the leaker. He lied to a grand jury and impeded the investigation. That was what he was convicted for.
Bush removed the punishment. Groups of conservatives are collecting together money to help pay the fine. So basically, the only thing is a mark on his record. Big whoop.
This is also a President who was the governor of a state that has executed more people than any other and mocked a lady that pleaded for clemency before her execution. Yeah, he's a winner.

Let me see.
He was convicted for perjury in an investigation that should have been complete the year before.
His sentence far exceeded the typical given out for perjury.
He has to pay a quarter million dollar fine, is on probation, his career, family and his name is ruined.
All for saying "I don't know" in a political witch hunt.
HE WAS NOT THE LEAK.
The president commuted his sentence. While Bush has done a lot of foolish things, this is not one of them.
This is a great thing, plain and simple.
As for the question: MEDIA BIAS!
